When the motion detector is triggered the floodlights come on, video begins recording, and an audio warning of your option sounds (depending on your settings). Package consists of a 2GB SD memory card, 60W2 halogen bulbs, and back up batteries. SmartGuard can take up to a 32 GB SD memory card. Cards merely overwrite preceding images must the memory fill. The audio warnings can be chosen from two preset warnings and 2 warnings you record yourself. SmartGuard is for outdoor use, is climate-proof, and perfect for house safety, workplace safety, and community security. Also consists of LCD screen for time/date setting. This unit is rather simple to install, just mount SmartGuard to any outdoor light fixture around the dwelling or office as you would any outdoor light, above the garage, back patio, outbuildings and entrance techniques.

I am pleased with this item and the cost. I set the camera, lights, and audio to turn on/record when motion was detected except for daytime when I set it for only the camera and audio to turn on/record. It's seriously good having the alternatives of the distinctive settings. It was fairly simple and easy to assemble, system, and install. Thinking of I'm a 50-year old mother of 3, I had no difficulty installing it in location of the flood light over our garage. I like the way you can position the lights and the motion sensor/camera to just about any position you want. It was also hassle-free to take away the memory card, an allen wrench is supplied to open and close the cover, and of course a ladder was crucial since I installed it above the garage. The videos were crystal clear when I viewed them on the laptop or computer. I do not know yet if the memory card (2gb) that comes with it will have enough space, but so far so really good.
Wow, I don't think how fine this product has been for the cost. It came about a week ago and I installed it correct away. For the value, you cannot beat it. It price about twice as considerably as a motion light without the need of a camera. The images are pretty great and the light comes on at night when there is a motion also.
It was just a little confusing to set it up, but not also poor. The mounting plate wouldn't fit my current junction box. All I required to do is cut some of the plastic away from the mounting holes and that predicament was solved. I have tried single shot, burst and video. I can not decide between the burst and the video, both are very good. I downloaded the photos directly from the camera onto my laptop with the supplied cable. It could not have been less complicated. I did not want to take away the SD card mainly because the directions mentioned I had to shut off the power to do so. Shutting off the power indicates that you have to reset the date, time and so on... I put in a new 1GB SD card that I had which may very well fill up in 2 weeks with all the instances someone walks by it.
No issue with that, it really should just place the new pictures in the spots where the oldest ones had been. If there was a burglary we would check the card prior to the pictures or videos were replaced. A note about SD cards, they are now selling a lot of SDHC card. They do not perform in many products that require SD only. I am not positive if that is the case with the Smartguard Security Lighting Camera, just use a regular SD to be certain.
