The Cannon Peephole viewer is a nifty device. It delivers a fairly clear picture of the other side of your door, with no getting to open it, delivering it to a little digital screen that you mount on the inside of your door.

Generally, it shows you what you would see through a peephole on the tiny screen but this has many positive aspects

What would make this a honestly killer device would be if it has potential to interface with other devices, for instance, if I could look out my peephole when I am down in the basement. Also, nightvision would be an remarkable addition. But this device wasn't created for that and I don't subtract anything for those .
Then again, the picture high quality on the viewer I got is a bit grainy, possibly it is considering that I have mainly employed it in lower light with just a porch light.

As far as installation, it took me about 30 minutes. I suspect it could have gone more quickly, but for some deficiencies in the documentation. Perhaps it was just me, but it wasn't that clear in the instructions that you had to take away the plate initially, and the diagrams and figures didn't show clearly how the viewer attaches to the door. Again, your mileage may vary, but it seemed like it could have been produced clearer with a greater diagram.
Also, the instructions had been totally incorrect as far as camera orientation. I had to turn the camera component until the red arrow was pointed almost 180 degrees in the other path indicated in the directions, which means now it is not truly that tight in the door. When I have a couple of minutes, I will almost certainly take it out and re-seat it.
An additional problem I had with the directions is that my door was a small thicker, so the plate would not correctly align to the back of the camera piece until I started to screw on the base. That just made me a little confused on if probably had the alignment of the door plate incorrect, considering that the figure showing how the plate attaches to the door is not that excellent to begin with.
Still I am pleased with the device. Currently I have been in a position to use the device to show an individual at the door to my youngsters. So although I have kept my old peephole just in case, I assume the Cannon Peephole Viewer is a definite keeper.
